Investment in Real Assets

The term “real assets” refers to tangible investment assets. These assets often have a relatively high value, such as real estate or wind farms.

Investments in real assets differ from purely financial investments because the assets require active management. Each real asset generally involves a range of contracts that determine its recurring income and costs. Ongoing technical monitoring and maintenance are also frequently required to ensure that the asset remains operational.

Efficient and commercially successful management of a real asset portfolio requires extensive knowledge, resources and a considerable investment of time. As not all investors are able or wish to undertake these responsibilities themselves, the aeos Group is pleased to assume them on behalf of our clients. Internationally, this service is known as “asset management”; in Germany, the term “operational management” is also commonly used.
