aeos Group is an asset manager and investor specializing in German real assets.
We operate in the business segments renewable energy (solar energy, wind power, battery storage), media & communication infrastructure, and real estate.
As professional asset managers, we support our clients in the acquisition, ongoing asset management, and sale of their German assets or company shares.
As investor we operate our own solar energy and media infrastructure assets.
HISTORY
aeos Group was founded in 2007 by Guido Fiebes, initially as a pure investment management company for the German portfolio of a large financial investor from the U.S. Until the end of 2013, we worked exclusively for this client in the business areas of wind energy, refined oil product storage and biodiesel production.
From 2014 on we expanded into the business segments of solar energy and real estate by acquiring the businesses of two regional companies in the Rhine/Ruhr region. In 2018, we diversified our activities into the media infrastructure business area by acquiring a radio transmission infrastructure business from a listed German company.
We currently have offices in Langenfeld (Rhineland) and Ennepetal (Ruhr area).
INVESTMENTS IN REAL (TANGIBLE) ASSETS
The term “real assets” refers to investment assets that can be “touched”. Often, these tangible assets have a relatively high value, such as real estate or wind farms.
Investments in real assets differ from purely financial assets in that the tangible assets must be actively managed. A whole bundle of different contracts is related to each asset and these contracts result in the ongoing income and costs of the respective asset. Active contract management and ongoing technical monitoring and maintenance measures are necessary to ensure the operational function of the respective asset.
The efficient and economically successful management of a real asset portfolio requires extensive knowledge, resources, and a high investment of time. Since not all investors are willing or able to do this by themselves, we at aeos Group are happy to take on these tasks for our clients. Our speciality is the management of German real assets for non-German investors. We are proud to offer a “one stop shopping” experience for these investors.
