aeos energy Expands into Broadcasting
Through its wholly-owned subsidiary Aeos Infrastructure GmbH, aeos energy has acquired a portfolio of 120 radio transmitting antennas from Media Broadcast GmbH, thereby expanding its investment activities into the broadcasting sector. The transaction is part of the general disposal of FM-radio infrastructure assets by Media Broadcast GmbH in 2017/18.
The antennas purchased by aeos energy are located in Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-
West Pomerania and North Rhine-Westphalia, and includes the landmark television tower at Berlin’s Alexanderplatz. This purchase, which will increase the investment company’s business volume by approximately € 6 million, is part of aeos energy’s expansion of its overall investment portfolio through diversification of the company’s real assets and infrastructure.
According to Guido Fiebes, Managing Director of aeos energy, though the new acquisition constitutes the largest single investment in the company’s portfolio to date, aeos energy will continue to operate primarily in its core segments wind power, photovoltaics and real estate.
